Primary Work Activities

• Oversees the hiring process and all personnel-related issues.
• Coordinates the efforts of the administrative team in the recruitment, selection and continuing certification needs of all instructional personnel.
• Assists building administrators and department supervisors in the supervision of all instructional personnel.
• Assists with contract negotiations and oversees the grievance process for all bargaining units.
• Provides District leadership in the Superintendent’s absence.
• Coordinates the District’s Professional Development and oversees all professional development of staff.
• Serves as one of the District’s Title IX Compliance Officers.
• Attends all Board of Education meetings.
• Serves as a member of the Executive Cabinet.
• Works collaboratively with the Executive Cabinet to prepare a District budget while overseeing the department budget.
• Works closely with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and district supervisors to resolve any personnel issues within the department.
• Assumes other related duties as a member of the Executive Cabinet at the direction of the Superintendent.
