Supervises maintenance of financial accounts and various records concerned with the business management of the school district.
Assists in the development of fiscal policy.
Oversees the requisitioning and purchasing of all equipment and supplies while serving as purchasing agent.
Prepares and issues periodic local, State, and federal financial and statistical reports for the Superintendent of Schools and Board of Education.
Supervises the work of subordinate clerical, custodial, maintenance, mechanics, bus drivers, food service, and supervisory staff.
Plans and directs construction/renovation projects in collaboration with the Executive Cabinet including all required public hearings.
In collaboration with the Executive Cabinet, prepares/assists in the preparation of the school budget for submission by the Superintendent to the Board of Education to align goals/needs with our current financial situation and our long term plan.
Substantiates budget estimates with supporting data, and assists with promoting an annual budget to the public.
Manages the District insurance programs.
Develops, maintains, and applies office management practices related to personnel, data processing, and record keeping.
Coordinates and oversees the annual audit (both internal and external) of the school district.
Oversees periodic inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure they are maintained per regulations.
Coordinates the operation of school cafeterias and buildings and grounds maintenance and custodial activities.
Coordinates business functions for human resources such as employee benefit administration.
Oversees the reimbursement billing submitted by the Pupil Personnel Office.
Oversees the contracts with any outside agency for billing of student programs.
Serves as the District Safety Officer responsible for the District Safety Plan.
Oversees the school nurses.
Attends all Board of Education meetings.
Serves as a member of the Executive Cabinet.
In collaboration with the Executive Cabinet, monitors all grant submissions and reporting.
Attends all relevant regional meetings and professional development and communicates important information back to relevant personnel.
Works closely with the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Personnel to resolve any personnel issues within the department.
Assumes other related duties as a member of the Executive Cabinet at the direction of the Superintendent.
