A.A. Cole Hosts Assembly Featuring Student Recognition and Friendly Competition

A.A. Cole Elementary School recently held its monthly assembly for October, celebrating student leadership, character excellence, and a spirited game of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?”

The assembly recognized students across grade levels who earned character awards for demonstrating outstanding leadership and positive choices throughout October. School staff praised the honorees for serving as role models within the school community.

A highlight of the event was a friendly match of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” where a team of fifth-grade students went head-to-head with A.A. Cole teachers. Demonstrating impressive teamwork and quick thinking, the fifth graders emerged victorious over their instructors. As a reward for their big win, each student on the winning team took home a new NeeDoh toy.

“We are so proud of our student leaders for their hard work and character this month, and seeing our fifth graders take on our teachers in such a fun competition was a fantastic way to bring our school together,” said A.A. Cole Principal Jessica Hill.
